One of the top remaining seniors in the entire country made his college commitment on Wednesday. In front of a large crowd at his high school IMG Academy, Eric Daily Jr. committed to Oklahoma State and head coach Mike Boynton Jr.

Dailey initially made a top eight that included Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan, TCU, Texas A&M as well to Oklahoma State back in September. He ended up picking the Cowboys over his other finalist of Memphis as well to options playing professionally. Other schools to had previously offered him before cutting his list included Alabama, Florida, Florida A&M, Georgia, Iowa State, Miami, Texas, and Tennessee.

As well to playing with the Georgia Stars on the EYBL last summer, Dailey was a starter for Team USA U18 in the Americas Championship. He averaged 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds and helped Team USA capture the gold medal. Coach Boynton was an assistant coach for that gold medal team.

While the great majority of the 2023 top one hundred had already made their commitment, Dailey remained available until now. The 6’7” forward ranks as a top fifty player nationally and was one of the top three uncommitted players in the 2023 class.

After graduating from IMG Academy last year as a member of the 2022 class, Dailey decided to reclassify to the 2023 class and spend a season as a part of the IMG post grad team. He now marks the fifth commitment of the 2023 recruitment class for Oklahoma State. He joins point guard Jamyron Keller, forwards Connor Dow and Justin McBride, and center Brandon Garrison.
