Christmas came early for Iowa State and head coach TJ Otzelberger. On Thursday, Nojus Indrusaitis announced his commitment to the Cyclones. Indrusaitis is a 6’5” wing guard at St. Rita High School in Chicago and plays with the Meanstreets program on the EYBL.

While only a junior, Indrusaitis knew he was making the right pick for himself. “It was a great fit and I like the coaching staff and what they planned for me,” he said about his early commitment. The top things that Indrusaitis likes about Iowa State is their playstyle, environment, and the coaches.

The commitment comes after Iowa State had offered Indrusaitis this past summer in July. He chose Iowa State over offers from DePaul, Illinois, Marquette, Maryland, Ole Miss, Xavier, and others. Indrusaitis is one of the top 2024 wing guards in the Midwest, he currently sits at third in the 2024 NY2LA player rankings for Illinois.

Indrusaitis recently took a visit west to Iowa State last weekend before making his commitment. “It was great to see what their about in person. Also, was great to continue building a relationship with the coaches,” he said about the trip.
