One of the top big men and highest upside players in the entire 2023 class made his commitment this week. Isaiah Miranda of Southern California Academy and Rhode Island Elite picked NC State over his long list of offers. He is regarded as a top thirty recruit nationally in the 2023 class.
Miranda committed to the Wolfpack over offers from Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Oregon, Providence College, Syracuse, UCLA, UConn, Washington, amongst others. Before making his commitment, Miranda had received over twenty scholarship offers.
There is plenty of tools to Miranda’s game in addition to his imposing size. As well to standing at 7’1”, the senior has great length and is a fluid athlete. There are few big men with his size that also have his mobility to be able to defend on the perimeter as well to being a true rim protector. Offensively, he has soft touch around the paint and is a big lob threat but can also step out and hit the three.
Miranda looks to be an immediate impact for Coach Kevin Keatts and the Wolfpack as he will be joining them this season for the second semester. He is joining a team that currently stands at 8-3 and should be a big piece of their run in ACC play.
