One of the top unsigned seniors remaining in Illinois right now is Khalil Ross. The 6’7” wing forward is off to a fast start for Brother Rice High School and holds a handful of scholarship offers for himself.
Right now, Ross has been offered by Canisius, Central Connecticut State, and Chicago State. There are some different aspects he likes about each of these schools. For Canisius and Central Connecticut State, Ross likes their location being on the east coast as well as their different style of play. For Chicago State, he likes that it is close to home.
One week into the season, Ross and Brother Rice are unbeaten with a 4-0 record after winning the Riverside Brookfield Vandemerkt Classic. This includes a highly impressive 77-59 victory over a talented Curie program in their most recent game on Saturday to capture the tournament title. Ross has been a big piece of the success while averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Even with the three division one offers, Ross is in no rush to make his college commitment. He is eyeing the late signing period to make his future collegiate plans. With his athleticism, length, versatile defensive ability, and slashing, don’t be surprised to see Ross pull in a few more scholarship offers for himself.
