After receiving seven scholarship offers over the past few months, Will Aljancic made his college commitment. The 6’6” senior wing of Louisville High School and All Ohio Select announced his plans to attend University of Findlay. He chose Findlay over his other offers from Ashland, Cedarville, Charleston, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Union, and Walsh.
When asked what he like about Findlay, Aljancic first mentioned the coaching staff. “Coach Ernst and staff are some of the best coaches on an off the court that you will find at any level.” The success of the program also came into play. “I love how Findlay can win a national championship any year and how much they win every single year. There are not many division two programs better than them. I loved the team and how much they wanted me into their family.”
The commitment comes after Aljancic took a visit to Findlay just recently at the end of October for their exhibition game versus Toledo as well to a visit over the summer. “Both visits were great, and I got a real good feel of what a hooper at Findlay will experience day in and day out. I felt so welcome by Coach and his family.” He also mentioned that the team was very welcoming and helping during his recruitment.
“I see myself fitting perfectly there,” Aljancic said about his future of playing for Findlay. “I know what I can bring to the table with all around scoring and defense and I know that’s the kind of player that they need. I hope I will make a big impact there right when I step on campus…I think Findlay is the perfect fit for me.”
