One of the most recent commitments out of Texas was Bobby McWard. The 6’3” guard of McKinney Christian Academy and 3D Empire mad his commitment to Colorado Christian University.
McWard made his commitment after a couple visits to the division two school. He initially made the trip to Lakewood, Colorado back in June and then once again last month in October. “Both visits were great, CCU felt like home both times I was there.”
“The main things I like about Colorado Christian were the coaches and players on the team,” is what won McWard over. He added in, “The coaches were completely transparent with me about how my game will translate and how they will be by my side every step of the way to see me develop into a great player.”
The senior chose Colorado Christian over his other offers from Arizona Christian, Army, and Mid-American Nazarene.
Over the past two seasons, McWard was one of the top shooters on the NY2LA Association. “I see my game fitting into CCU’s style with my shooting first and then working with the coaches to develop the other parts of my game that will help me become a great all-around point guard, shooting guard.” With his shooting ability as well as his high IQ play, McWard should be able to make an impact on the floor from day one for Colorado Christian.
