Over the past few months Will Aljancic has become one of the more sought after 2023 recruits for division two programs from the state of Ohio as well as the entire region. Over the course of the summer and fall, the 6’6” wing of Louisville High School (OH) and All Ohio Select has grown his list of scholarship offers all the way up to seven, including ones primarily from division two programs as well as NAIA.

The seven programs to have currently offered Aljancic are Ashland, Findlay, Union University, Cedarville, Walsh University, University of Charleston, and Mount Vernon Nazarene. There are different aspects that the senior likes about each of these schools and their basketball programs.

“Great coaching staff and facilities, top program in the GMAC,” Aljancic said about Ashland.

For Findlay, “Love the team and coaching staff. Love the history of a top program in the nation year in an out.”

Regarding Union, “First offer, great coaching staff, my brother is there and love that it is in the south.”

“A top program in the GMAC, winning program, very familiar to it as it’s close to my home,” he said about Walsh.

On Cedarville, “Loved the coaching staff, top notch facilities, faith based.”

“My mom went there, very good program, felt connected with their head coach,” he said about Mount Vernon Nazarene.

Lastly on Charlestown, “Really like the coaching staff. Fun team, good play style, one of the best teams in their conference every year.”

The top things he is looking for in his future basketball program and school include a great coaching staff, a team that can win a national championship, and a school with great academics. With all off his visits “pretty much wrapped up”, Aljancic is looking to make his commitment soon. He would like to select his future college this month before his high school season begins.
