Not only have many of the Illinois’ top ranked played made their commitments but plenty of others have also made their commitment. Even with nearly all the state’s top players off the board, there is still some talented players to be found. Here are several under the radar seniors in Illinois that are still available and have much to offer programs at the next level.

Kevin Anthony – 2023 – PF/C – IL HoopStars

Standing at 6’9” with tremendous length, Anthony is a very intriguing prospect with great upside. With his physical tools, instincts, and agility, Anthony is a natural shot blocker. His offensive game has continued to progress, not only being able to score around the paint but spot up for threes and put the ball on the floor. While he has continued to receive plenty of interest from division three programs, Anthony may have a much higher ceiling.

Andrew Ayeni – 2023 – SG – All In Athletics

At 6’4” with his great strength and explosiveness, there is much to like about Ayeni. A highly impactful player with all he can do on both ends of the floor. A very tough and aggressive defender who matches up well with both guards and wings. Ayeni is a strong driver who plays well through contact. He has only continued to improve over the past year and his best basketball is ahead of him.

Anthony Haith – 2023 – SG – M14

Haith is another on this list with a great defensive ability. At 6’4” with his length, athleticism, and defensive energy, the senior can be a shut down on ball defender. Offensively, he is a skilled slasher who is effective getting to the rim with his long strides but can also knock down perimeter jumpers. Look for Haith to have a breakout senior season and for his stock to soar.

Ryan Johnson – 2023 – SF – Illinois Attack

The 6’6” wing had a breakout season with the Illinois Attack to build his recruitment. Last month he picked up an offer from Lake Erie College and should continue to attract more from division two programs. Not only does he have good size and length on the wings, but Johnson is also a marksman from the perimeter. He has a lot of tools that will translate to the next level.

Zack Hawkinson – 2023 – SF – MidPro Academy

Hawkinson is a player that has only continued to produce and win games. After being a huge piece of Sacred Heart-Griffin who won the Illinois 3A state championship in March, he helped MidPro Academy win the NY2LA Association championship in July. While he does have a few division two offers, he is a player that has the tools to help a division one program. At 6’6” with his athleticism, tough and versatile defender, and ability to score from all over the floor, Hawkinson is a player that is going to help a college program win plenty of games.
