In the 2025 class in Ohio, one guard who had a breakout summer was Brandon Roddy. With his play with All Ohio Select over the past few months, the 6’0” point guard earned himself a scholarship offer.

In July, Xavier became the first school to extend a scholarship offer to Roddy. “I felt blessed to know all the work I put in isn’t going unnoticed but it’s more reason for me to keep working and striving for greatness,” was his reaction to receiving his first offer.

Roddy had a tremendous year playing with the All Ohio Select program. Not only was his team able to capture that NY2LA Association 15U Championship, but he was also able to earn himself most valuable player from his age group. “My year with All Ohio Select was great…especially because I won a NY2LA Championship with my boys.”

He simply stated his game as a “scoring facilitator,” which was on full display through his time with All Ohio Select. Another aspect of his game he mentioned was, “I love defense. “

Following his tremendous grassroots season, Roddy is looking towards more accomplishments for his sophomore season at Harvest Prep. His goals for the year include keeping his grades up, averaging more steals and assists, increase his scoring, and ultimately win games and a state championship.
