One rising senior in Wisconsin that has continued to generate a great deal of college interest this spring is Marcus Hall. After entering the spring without a single scholarship offer, the 6’6” wing of D.C. Everest High School has been an incredibly popular amongst division two programs.
After a stellar junior season in which he averaged 28.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, Hall has continued his high level of play with the Wisconsin Swing program. Last month University of Mary was the first to offer him. Since then, Hillsdale College, Minnesota-Duluth, and Wisconsin-Parkside have all offered with the newest coming from Concordia St. Paul. Other programs to have shown interest include Bemidji State, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and others.
Currently Hall has visited Hillsdale College and University of Mary. “They were both great,” Hall said about the two visits. “Their facilities and coaching staff were definitively both big positives about their school. I also like their family culture that they have there,” he said about Hillsdale. For University of Mary, Hall was a big fan of their coaching staff.
There are a few different aspects Hall is wanting in future basketball program. “A place that has a competitive and winning culture. I also want a place where I feel like I fit in with the players and coaches well.
Even though Hall has picked up a couple offers this week, don’t be surprised to see some more comes his way in the near future.
