A big man that continues to trend upwards in the 2023 class out of Kansas is Jordayn Buhrle. The junior had an impressive season at Russell High School while averaging 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks. He is a true post standing at 6’9” as well to having good length.

When talking about his game, Buhrle said “My game is definitely inside dominant, but I can pop out for the mid-range, three-point shots when needed.” Much more than just a big body, he plays with great energy and is a highly impactful player on the floor. With his height and length in addition to his energy and instincts, he is a true rim protector that can block shots in bunches. He is a strong scorer playing with his back to the basket as well to being effective in the pick and roll game and expanded range on his shot. A couple aspects he is looking to improve include his ball handling ability and expanding his outside game further.

While it is still early in his recruitment process, there are some things he is looking to show in the upcoming spring with Rocky Mountain Select. “I’d like to show that I’m a versatile big man with good footwork and nice touch inside that can hit the outside shot.”

With his size and emerging tools, Buhrle could be a breakout big man this spring while playing with Rocky Mountain Select.
