Class of 2024 Trey’Dez Green of Jackson, Louisiana may be the most intriguing prospect in his class. It is rare to find a prospect that boasts a physical frame as well as the skillset to compliment it at such an early age. The East Feliciana High standout not only dominates on the basketball court but is a big-time player on the football field as well. He is just starting to scratch the surface in terms of long-term potential and does not appear to be letting up anytime soon.

Standing 6’7 and boasting a 230-pound frame, he has a natural feel for the game at his size. He is very crafty around the basket and uses his solid frame to overpower smaller defenders. He has an extremely high motor and above average IQ for this stage of his career. He finishes at the rim very well and can get it done with either hand. His passing skills are still improving but does possess the ability to find open teammates when he gets doubled in the post, as well as great outlet passes to start the break. His athleticism at his size is what truly sets him apart at the high school level. He loves to play above the rim and when his teammates lob it up to him in the half court or open court a jaw dropping dunk is usually the result. The biggest are where has begun to improve is his outside shooting. He has extended his range over the last year and is now more comfortable shooting the three. This is what makes him a such an intriguing prospect in today’s era of basketball. He has also put in countless time on the court to improve his free throw shooting.

Defensively, his teams consider him the anchor on the floor. He is vocal and active and does not take any plays off. He is one dive on the ground for loose balls as well as fight to get offensive rebounds. He has sound defensive principles, and this is what keeps his out of foul trouble compared to other forwards his age. He boxes out well and has the speed and quickness to stay with smaller opponents in situations where he must switch on screens. He is a great shot blocker as well as someone who can alter shots of offensive player who challenge him the paint. These tangible skills he possesses have started to get division one programs to begin paying attention.

He currently holds offers from Houston and LSU as well as some offers to play football. This list is expected to grow quickly as he heads into his sophomore high school season as well as into the travel season next spring and summer.
