The state of Texas is in great shape as far talent for the class of 2022.  The next big name to come out of the city of Houston is 6’5 G Jesaiah McWright.  The Cypress Falls High School standout has built quite the reputation of being an impact player on the court and feels it is time to get his named mentioned with the best in the state.  He has a work ethic that is off the charts is a one of those players who may have been flying under the radar but all of that will soon change.

He one of the best playmakers offensively in all the greater Houston area.  He has the complete package from a combo guard standpoint and extremely hard to match up against defensively.  He can put the ball on the floor and get in the basket with ease and finish at the rim with contact.  He has a quick first step and a smooth pull jump shot from 15 feet.  He can play above the rim and is frequently ending plays with high flying dunks.  He is also an elite passer who can find teammates for easy baskets in transition or in the half court.  He has great vision and enough size to see over double teams as well as make the right decisions in pick and roll situations.  One of the biggest areas where he has spent a lot of time putting in extra work is in his three-point shooting.  He has no problem stepping beyond the three-point line and knocking down the shot with ease and it only adds to his already loaded offensive arsenal.

On the defensive end he is the ultimate competitor.  He can any position on the perimeter and has no problem challenging a team’s best player for the duration of a game.  He has long arms and quick feet to stay in front of most guards.  He is particularly good in the passing lanes and anticipates well which lead to breakout transition baskets for his team.  He rebounds the ball well for his size because of his leaping ability and is incredibly good in help side defensive situations.  His play over the past year has been a result of the countless hours that he spends outside of practice in the gym and he is only scratching the surface in terms of potential.

He has shot to recently become of the players in the Houston area that many of the college programs in the region have made a priority to follow.  Many schools have recently began reaching out and he is poised to start gaining traction and scholarship offers at high rate in the next few months.
