While he already held several scholarship offers, Noah Franklin recently picked up his second division one offer. This one came from IUPUI and head coach Byron Rimm. Franklin is a 6’7” senior small forward at Cobden High School (IL).
“Any time that you receive a division one offer it’s flattering,” Franklin commented on how it felt to pick up his most recent offer. He already seems high on the Jaguars stating, “the coaching staff seems very friendly and I love the campus and their players, plus they are in a good league.”
In addition to his offer from IUPUI, he also holds ones from division one, two, and NAIA programs. The list includes Army, Huntington, McKendree, Missouri Baptist, Pittsburg State, Quincy, and Truman State. As well, Franklin is also in contact with a long list of schools that includes Kentucky Wesleyan, Maryville, Northern Michigan, Northwest Missouri State, and Southern Indiana.
When asked if any of these schools stand out to him, Franklin said “all of the schools that have contacted me have certain qualities that I like, whether that be academically, style of play, distance from home.”
There are a few specific aspects Franklin is looking for in his future school, including his major of choice. “I’m looking for a school to be the right fit. I want a school to have a PT major and preferably a PT program as well. I’d prefer being closer to home. I’d like the school I play for to be in a competitive conference and have a good basketball program.” Though one thing that doesn’t look to be a big factor is the level of his future school, “level of play doesn’t necessarily mater to me.”
Don’t expect a commitment any time soon from Franklin as he is eyeing the spring to make a college decision.
