After a highly impressive summer, Zachary Cleveland received his first scholarship offer from Southeast Missouri State University. Cleveland is a 6’7” forward from Normal Community High School (IL) and Mid Pro Academy. The junior is a physical forward who can score the ball at a high level in a variety of ways.

“It was very exciting and great knowing people are seeing my game, but it has made me work two times harder…So it was like this is the real deal now and has motivated me even more,” Cleveland commented on how it felt receiving the offer.

When talking about Southeast Missouri State, Cleveland first mentioned their coaches saying, “coaching staff is very good and has a lot of experience.” Additionally, he talked about the school itself mentioning their “great education opportunities.”

While Southeast Missouri State is Cleveland’s only scholarship offer, there are many other programs interested in the junior. Appalachian State, Elon, Miami (OH), Nebraska-Omaha, Robert Morris, and St. Louis have all reached out to him.

Cleveland claimed two things he is looking for in his future college; winning and education. “I love to win and do whatever it takes so that’s a big thing. As well as a place where I can get a good education,” he said.
