The 2016 NY2LA Swish N’ Dish tips off Friday, featuring some of the nation’s top travel programs. In what’s sure to be an electric opening night of basketball, a number of terrific matchups are in store to kick off the events.

Jets/Ramey United vs. Iowa Barnstormers – Homestead HS
Two of the top guards in the Midwest will be on display for Jets/Ramey. Sophomores Torrence Watson and Courtney Ramey lead a fast-paced, high-octane show. However, they’ll have their hands full with Iowa commit Joe Wieskamp and point guard A.J. Green of the Barnstormers.
Wisconsin Playground Warriors vs. Meanstreets – Homestead HS
If you like scoring, tune into this one. The Playground Warriors are just loaded top to bottom, led by the dynamic duo of Jordan McCabe and Tyler Herro. Then inside, 7-footer Adam Trapp patrols the paint. Three of six players who have already earned Division 1 offers before their junior year. Led by Chicago products Raekwon Drake and Xavier Castaneda, Meanstreets should be up to the task.
Mac Irvin Fire vs. Wisconsin Swing – Homestead HS
A pair of guards lead the Swing into an intriguing matchup. Fresh off an appearance in the Division 1 state championship game, Mitch Listau and Mason Steffen are on the verge of taking their games to the next level. A loaded squad and tournament favorite, Mac Irvin Fire will look to make a statement on opening night.
Wisconsin United vs. Illinois Irish Elite – Homestead HS
With a loaded backcourt, Wisconsin United has a lot of promise going into the travel season. Carlos Curtis, Tyrese Haliburton, and Keontae White put together big sophomore seasons and play very well off another. The Illinois Irish, featuring the likes of Zachary Briggs and Seth Kizer look to slow down this talented trio.
All-Ohio Red vs. SYF Players – Homestead HS
All-Ohio Red has a handful of top sophomores on their roster already holding power-five offers. Ohio State commit Dane Goodwin, Dylan Swingle, and Foster Loyer form a dangerous trio. SYF Players feature a number hidden gems, including speedy, electric point guard Chase Adams.
Louisville Magic vs. Martin Bros. – Homestead HS
Dorion Tisby and Oumar Keita lead Louisville Magic into an intriguing 16U game in the nightcap. They’ll meet two of Iowa’s top class of 2018 prospects, Matt Mims and Jason Taylor on Friday.
