Arkansas State Lands Chris Davis Jr.

One of the top available seniors in Wisconsin announced his commitment on Tuesday. This came from Chris Davis Jr. of Sun Prairie East High School and Team Herro who decided upon Arkansas State.

“The main thing I like about Arkansas State is the style of play they got, and the fan base out there is amazing. Just being there felt like home,” Davis said on why he chose the Red Wolves. Arkansas State has been recruiting the 6’4” guard for well over a year now having initially offered him in July of last year.

The commitment comes after Davis recently took his visit to the Jonesboro, Arkansas campus on October 25th. “I loved it,” Davis first said about the visit. “Like I said it felt like home.”

In Davis, Arkansas State is landing one of the nation’s top scorers. Last season at Sun Prairie West High School, he averaged 40.8 points per game to lead all scorers in the entire state of Wisconsin. For his future on the court for Arkansas State, he said “They love to get up and down and they love pick & rolls and I feel like in my game when big shot or big play need to happen, I feel like I’ll be ready for the moment.”

The commitment comes on the eve of the early signing period. In Arkansas States 2025 recruiting class, Davis joins 6’9” forward Onyx Nnani who had multiple high major offers and 6’5” guard Adriel Nyorha.
