Alex Daniels Discusses Parkside Commitment

As we near the end of the school year and collegiate season, many of the last available seniors are making their college commitments. This most recent on Thursday came from Alex Daniels. The 6’6” wing forward of Warren Township High School (IL) and All In Athletics has committed to Wisconsin Parkside.

In his senior season, Daniels played a pivotal role in Warren Township advancing all the way to the super-sectionals in the 4A Illinois state tournament. The versatile wing forward averaged 14 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in the school’s historic season.

The commitment comes after the division two program offered him just last week. The senior was being recruited by numerous division two, three, NAIA, and junior college programs. Some of the other schools that were recruiting Daniels included Carroll, Dominican, Judson, Loras, St. Leo, St. Norbert, University of Indianapolis, UW-Platteville, Wabash, and others.

There were aspects both on and off the court that played a key aspect in Daniel’s commitment. “I really liked the campus and location. I connected very well with the coaches as well as players and it overall felt like a place that could challenge me and make me better,” he said on choosing Wisconsin Parkside.
