Ethan Edwards Talks University of Indianapolis Commitment

A breakout star from the summer has announced his college commitment. On Sunday, senior Ethan Edwards of Whiteland High School (IN) and Legacy Ice Elite, announced his commitment to University of Indianapolis.

The 6’6” shooting guard shined at both the NY2LA Summer Jam and Final Chapter tournaments back in July. At each of the tournaments, Edwards was one of the top shooters as well as overall scorers. Between the two tournaments he had multiple thirty plus point games which included hitting six three-pointers in a single half of play. He received his scholarship offer from University of Indianapolis back in July.

Edwards mentioned his great shooting ability for his future playing for Indianapolis. “My main thing is I’m a shooter and right now that’s what they need and my ability now to not only shoot but make plays off the dribble will help me get those shots off, so I truly think it’s a perfect fit for me.”

“It was great,” Edwards said about his visit to the division two school back during the summer. “I loved the campus and I got to watch the guys play and it was a lot of fun.” The coaching staff was the first thing that was mentioned on what he likes about Indianapolis. “I love coach Heady and the entire staff, and I also like the culture of the team and being around the guys was a lot of fun and my game fits their needs and I’ll be able to make an impact immediately.”
