2025 Kaden MacKenzie Updates Recruitment

Several members of the Wisconsin Swing 2025 team hold scholarship offers from division two programs with one of the being Kaden MacKenzie. Back in July, the 6’4” guard of Waunakee High School was offered by Northern State of the Northern Sun Conference. In his junior season, he averaged 12.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. Then during the grassroots season, he was a key to all the success of the Wisconsin Swing which included a championship at the NY2LA Sports Invitational as well to an undefeated 4-0 performance at the Next Level Invitational.

Last weekend MacKenzie took a visit to the South Dakota campus of Northern State. “Northern State was great, awesome school with great facilities, and I loved the guys and Coach Phillips is awesome,” MacKenzie said.

While Northern State is the only program to offer him so far, he is also receiving interest from colleges on multiple levels. Among them include Belmont Abbey, Rockhurst, University of Indianapolis, University of Jamestown, UW-Platteville, and Winona State.

For his future college program, MacKenzie said “main things I’m looking for is a winning culture and good fit within the team.” He is currently planning on waiting to at least the start of the high school basketball season to make his college commitment.
