Keegan VanKauwenberg Sitting On A Trio Of Offers

While he entered this summer with zero scholarship offers, Keegan VanKauwenberg was able to pick up a trio of division two offers in July during his time with the Wisconsin Crusaders. Missouri S&T was the first program to offer the 6’4” senior guard of Kaukauna High School followed by Michigan Tech and then Rockhurst University.

There are differed aspects VanKauwenberg likes about each of the schools that have offered him. “Missouri S&T has a lot to offer. Facilities are very solid with a nice campus to go with it,” he said about the first program to have offered him. On Michigan Tech, he said “has a pretty campus as well and they have what I’m looking for when it comes to basketball.” Finally, “Rockhurst has a culture that I think is special compared to many other places.”

Most recently for visits, VanKauwenberg took one to Missouri S&T at the end of August. “It was definitely a shock to see how the facilities were. They were much better than I expected, and the team was full of guys who were very similar. Players want to hoop but also care about their academics and career off the court.” Up next for visits, he will be going to Michigan Tech next weekend.

As well to his three offers, he has been starting to hear from the division one level with Wisconsin-Green Bay. VanKauwenberg is looking to make his commitment around November though he also added in “if the right opportunity comes it could be earlier.”
