Max Jones Starting To Get On College Coaches Radars

As one of top players in Wisconsin’s loaded 2027 class, Max Jones is starting to get himself on college radars. After being a dominant player on the GNBA in his middle school days, he successfully handled the transition up to the high school level. In his freshman season, the 6’4” guard averaged 15.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for West Allis Central High School to earn himself first team all-conference honors. He then followed that up with another standout grassroots season while playing with 24Up.

“I feel like I did great,” Jones said about his season with 24Up playing on the UA Rise circuit. “I can push myself more to do more good things like get my teammates involved, helping my team win, and pushing others to get better.” The season included a championship at the NY2LA Wisconsin Spring Showdown where he scored 33 points in the semifinals and then 25 points in the championship victory.

“Getting more of my teammates involved and once again do whatever I can do to win,” Jones said about his game transitioning to the high school level. “I push myself every day to get better and be the best I can.” While he has had great size and strength in the backcourt for some time now, his skill level has also taken great strides over the past year where he has developed into a very well-rounded guard.

With the growth of his game, Jones has started to attract interest from several division one programs. Amongst them are Grambling State, UW-Green Bay, Western Kentucky, and Wyoming.

For his upcoming sophomore season, Jones has one goal. “My goal for my sophomore year is to do the best that I can and to win the state title.” As well to Jones, West Allis Central also has Yusef Gray, one of the top juniors in the state, as well as 6’9” Kevin Pittman.
