Get To Know – 2027 Cole DuBois

Over the course of the grassroots season, one of the top players at the 15U level of the NY2LA Association was Cole DuBois. The 5’11” point guard was a key to all the success of MidPro Academy which included helping them win the NY2LA Association championship at the Summer Jam tournament back in in July.

“My season with MidPro went well and we had a lot of wins,” DuBois said. I definitely got better, and we went far in a lot of our tournaments. We were all new to playing with each other, but I thought we adjusted well.” As well to their championship at Summer Jam, their season included a semifinals appearance at Swish ‘N Dish and a championship game appearance at Spring Extravaganza.

“Flashy quick point guard,” is what DuBois first said when describing his own game. “Can shoot it from deep range and get my teammates going with my passing. I try to be a leader on the court, do anything to help win, and bring a lot of energy. I really get going with flashy passes and getting others involved.” Throughout the grassroots season, he consistently showed his great playmaking ability. Not only does he have great range shooting it from the outside but is incredibly elusive playing on the attack with his quickness, moves, and handle. He has a great ability to consistently get into the defense where he is a very skilled distributor on the move. A few aspects of his game he is looking to improve upon include getting stronger, working on his defensive play, and being more vocal on the court.

Now moving into his sophomore season, DuBois has some goals for his upcoming season at East Peoria High School (IL). “Win conference, see how far we can go, put East Peoria basketball out there, put my name on the map, first team all-conference, and to just win.”
