Evan Darrah Is A 2026 Guard To Know

One of the 2026 breakout stars this summer on the NY2LA Association was Evan Darrah. At both the NY2LA Summer Jam and Final Chapter Tournaments back in July, Darrah was one of the top scorers while playing with All Area Basketball.

“I had a great spring and summer with All Area. I consistently had strong tournaments where I was able to impact the game both offensively and defensively,” Darrah said. At the Summer Jam Tournament, he helped his All Area team win the consolation championship while scoring 33 points in the championship victory.

When describing his own game, Darrah said “I think a lot of people before the spring and summer season would have said I can primarily shoot the ball. I showed that I can score at all three levels consistently. I have gotten a lot better at getting to my mid-range shot at being crafty around the rim. I believe I can stretch the floor better than most players and knock down the three-point shot at an elite level.” One main aspect of his game he said he is working on improving is his defensive play. “I have gotten a lot better defensively over the last year. My speed and vertical has improved substantially and I have picked up about twenty-five pounds since last season which has helped my defense a lot.”

With the great growth of his game, Darrah has started to attract interest from a few division two programs. In his upcoming junior season at New Palestine High School (IN), he has a few personal and team goals. He is looking to being named all-conference, lead the conference in three pointers made, as well as the ultimate goal of winning a state championship.
