Looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, NY2LA Sports breaks down the race in the Metro Classic Conference…
PROJECTED STANDINGS

3. Martin Luther
4. St. Thomas More
5. Racine Lutheran
6. The Prairie School
7. Kenosha St. Joseph
8. Shoreland Lutheran
THE FAVORITE – St. Catherine’s
Think you have to bank on this backcourt of LaMont Hamilton (22.3 ppg) and Eddie Vinson (12.3 ppg). The Angels were a very young group in 2023-24 and still went 8-6 in a loaded conference. St. Cat’s also reloads more than any other team in the Metro Classic Conference, getting their top four scorers back from last season.
DARK HORSE – Dominican
The Knights got hit hard by attrition, losing but senior wing Aaron Womack (22.9 ppg) is enough to keep them atop the league. Dominican also features sophomore guard Zahir Jones (8.2 ppg) who’s in store for a breakout season.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR – Aaron Womack
Womack is coming in different this season. The senior wing had a terrific AAU season on the Under Armour Circuit and jumped his game up a few levels. A lengthy, 6-foot-6 sniper, Womack has added various parts to his game. As a junior, Womack averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 63 percent from the floor.
BREAKOUT PLAYER – Carsen Eeg
Eeg will be a four-year varsity performer for The Prairie School this winter. With Tre Fenderson taking his talents to DME Academy at St. John’s, Eeg steps into the primary role. As a junior, he averaged eight points and nearly four assists per game.
