It has been a big summer of offers for Zavier Zens. The 6’7” junior wing forward of Wisconsin Lutheran High School and the 24Up program picked up his first offer in June and then has continued to add from there.
The first offer for Zens came at the division two level from Northern Michigan. Since then, he has added a trio of division one offers. First by Toledo then followed Wisconsin-Green Bay and most recently Stetson. “It’s been awesome,” Zens said about picking up his offers. “I’ve struggled with injuries a ton the past couple years and finally seeing the work I’ve put in paying off is awesome. But it did help me realize that I can achieve much bigger things in basketball and makes me want to work harder.”
“A lot to like about all of them,” Zens said about the three schools to most recently offer him. “My uncle and aunt used to play for Green Bay back in the day, did big things. I have family down in Florida and they play a great style of basketball. Then Toledo has won their conference many times the last few years, so they got a good thing going there.”
Zens is in the process of setting up visits to each of Stetson, Toledo, and UW-Green Bay for the fall. Some of the other programs showing interest in him currently include Charlotte, Hawaii, North Dakota State, St. Louis University, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Western Michigan, and Wyoming.
