Recruitment of Marquis Clark Continues to Build

Already one of the more sought-after players in Illinois’ 2026 class, Marquis Clark has only continued to add more offers. Last week with college coaches now able to directly contact players in the 2026 class, the 6’2” point guard of Whitney Young High School and Meanstreets added a couple of new offers for himself.

Over the past week, Clark was able to add offers from both Toledo and then Western Michigan. He has previously been offered by Bryant, Cal, Illinois, Northern Illinois, and Pacific. Some of the other schools recruiting him include Appalachian State, BYU, DePaul, Illinois State, Indiana, Marquette, Penn, Virginia Tech, among many others.

The Western Michigan offer comes following a visit to the MAC school. When first talking about the visit, Clark called it “great.” Adding in about the visit, “My family and I built a great relationship with the coaches and players, the campus was nice, and I enjoyed my time there. It felt like a family down there.”

Following the Western Michigan visit, he currently has no further visits scheduled. Though he is looking to take a visit to Illinois.

Over the past few days, Clark was one of the top players at the Riverside Brookfield Live Shootout which included many of the top high school teams in the state. He helped Whitney Young to an undefeated 4-0 record which included a 27-point game for himself.
