APPLETON — A look at the top class of 2025 prospects competing in the WBCA June Jam this weekend…
Trevor Polite – SF – Homestead
Polite is steadily trending in the right direction. A two-way player with an intriguing skillset for a 6-foot-5 wing, Polite can play the point, provide a slashing presence, and space the floor as a shooter. Last season, Polite posted 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game as a junior. He owns scholarship offers from Illinois State and Milwaukee.
A.J. Bender – G – Lake Mills
Bender put up 22 points and four assists for Lake Mills last season. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a proven three-level scorer, but also couples as a floor general who can make plays for others. Bender has a pair of scholarship offers from SIUE and Cal Poly with a handful of mid-major programs currently waiting to see him in July.
Pryce Gregoire – SF – De Pere
Gregoire has some of the best upside among Division 2 prospects in this class. He’s still just scratching the surface, but has already landed scholarship offers from Concordia St. Paul, Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech, and Winona State thanks to his sweet-shooting, raw 6-foot-6 frame, and sneaky athleticism. As a junior, Gregoire averaged 10 ppg on a loaded De Pere squad.
Zach Kinziger – SG – De Pere
The Wisconsin commit will be a favorite to win Mr. Basketball in 2024-25. Kinziger posted 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game as a junior. A deadly outside shooter who also has intangibles on both ends of the floor, Kinziger is a winner and one of the best competitors in the country.
Juan Guerrero Hernandez – CG – Grafton
Guerrero Hernandez is having a breakout spring/summer and just landed a scholarship offer from Iowa. A highly explosive combo guard, Guerrero Hernandez is one of the best leapers in the state. When he’s hitting his jump shot, there’s not much defenders can do. As a junior, Guererro Hernandez averaged 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game next to one of the best seniors in the state.
Brooks Hinson – PG – Marshfield
Division 2 programs should be tracking Hinson all weekend. One of the best lead guards in the state, Hinson runs his teams as well as anyone. Hinson averaged 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game. Hinson balances being a floor general and scoring assassin very well. He’ll give his team whatever they need in a given moment.
Jamarion Batemon – SG – Milwaukee Academy of Science
Batemon averaged 21 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game last season. One of the top two guards in the country, Batemon is an elite shooter from all areas of the floor. He’s got extended range from beyond the arc, but also quickly developed that in-between and off-balance game. Holding offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Marquette, Clemson, and more, Batemon is also a terrific on-ball defender and stopper.
Davion Hannah – W – Nicolet
Wisconsin’s top 2025 prospect, Hannah is a top 50 player nationally. The offer list ranges from Michigan State, N.C. State, Missouri, Missouri, Alabama, Creighton, Auburn, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Ohio State. A smooth 6-foot-6 wing with an elite mid-range game, Hannah has the type of offensive game that allows him to size up a defender and create any shot he wants.
Xzavion Mitchell – F – Oshkosh North
Mitchell came off the board in the spring, verbally committing to Iowa State. A do-it-all combo forward, Mitchell averaged 26 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game as a junior. A junkyard dog, the 6-foot-7 forward is an elite rebounder who works his tail off on the glass. He’s also very unique with his ability to play a little point forward and engineer the fast break.
Drew Murphy – F – Verona
Pick your poison with Murphy. Want to keep him out on the perimeter, the Verona product is an excellent 3-point shooter, especially in the pick n’ pop game. Want to play him with a smaller defender? Murphy can back his way into the paint and score on the block efficiently. Murphy averaged 23 points per game last season. He is currently committed to Northern Michigan.

Everest), Owen Gieger (Fort Atkinson), Brennan Dempsey (Fort Atkinson), Lakyn Hintz (Fort Atkinson), Matt Lesnik (Kenosha Tremper), Michael Wildes (Kimberly), Makhai Jewell (Milwaukee Lutheran), Cale Buboltz (Sheboygan North), Will Sieracki (Valders), Kaden McKenzie (Waunakee), Christian Irslinger (Wilmot), Abraham Tomori (Appleton North), Roan Demovsky (De Pere), Wesley Mboga (Eau Claire Memorial), Julius Clark (Eau Claire Memorial), Riley Mueller (Hortonville), Roman Thompson (Kettle Moraine), Max Breitenbach (Kohler), Zane Willadsen (Kohler), Agape Keys Jr. (Milwaukee Academy of Science), David Bolden (Nicolet), Jayden Reed (Messmer), Colin Schultz (Pulaski), Cody Young (Shiocton), Jesse Napgezek (Wausau East), Ethan Cyra (Wrightstown)
