This week Gavin Gores added another scholarship offer to his growing list. The newest offer for the 6’10” rising senior of Cumberland High School and the Wisconsin Playmakers came from Toledo.
In his junior season, Gores averaged 28.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He currently ranks ninth in the NY2LA Wisconsin 2025 player rankings.
The Toledo coaching staff started reaching out to Gores just in the last few weeks. He received the offer in a phone call from Head Coach Tod Kowalcyzk on Wednesday evening. “They play fast offensively and really score the ball a lot,” Gores said about what he likes about the Toledo program.
Since his play during the May live period, Gores has generated interest from a number of new programs. As well, he has previously been offered by Loyola (Maryland), South Dakota State, and Wisconsin-Green Bay, in addition to the Toledo offer.
Back in January, Gores took a visit to Minnesota. Next up in visits, Gores will be taking a visit to Wyoming on June 12-14.
