Seven Footer Stefan Cicic Picks Tulane

After landing several division one offers over the past couple of years, senior Stefan Cicic has finally made his college commitment. The seven-footer of Riverside Brookfield High School (IL) and Team Rose announced his commitment to Tulane. In this past season, he earned 4A second team all-state honors by the IBCA.

The recruitment of Cicic to Tulane had all come together recently over the past few weeks. The senior post was just offered by them at the end of April while taking an official visit. “Great visit, was treated very nice and felt like home, great people,” Cicic said about his visit to the New Orleans school.

“The main things I like about Tulane is it’s a great staff and great coaches and I feel like I can develop my game and be a better basketball player at Tulane. Also, very nice academic school and very beautiful weather,” Cicic said on his college selection. He had previously been offered by Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Georgia Tech, LeMoyne, Portland, San Diego, Southern Illinois Edwardsville, and Western Illinois.

Cicic will be joining a Tulane team that is coming of a 14-17 season. “I see my game fitting in at Tulane because they are fast pace which is an area to improve on but also I feel like I got a little more athletic and agile so I can catch alley oops and post up and pass out of the post to cutters or wipe open shooters. Also, I can alter shots and rebound offensively and defensively.”
