In his senior season Zander Woodruff has taken his game to another level. The 6’3” combo guard has been a big reason why Laingsburg High School (MI) currently sits at an undefeated record at 9-0.
Woodruff is one of the leading scorers in Michigan this season while averaging 31.7 points per game. This is in addition to averaging 7.6 rebounds and 4 assists. After breaking his school record for points in a season last year, he is now on track to being the leading scorer in his school’s history.
After generating interest from several schools Woodruff has started to narrow his focus on a select few. Right now, he is only interested in a trio of in-state division three schools. The three schools are Alma College, Calvin University, and Hope College. Woodruff broke down what he liked about each of the schools.
Alma: “I love the coaching staff and I think I would fit in well with their style of play.”
Calvin: “I love the winning tradition that they have, and I love their campus. I think I would fit well in their program.”
Hope: “Love the guys on the team and Coach Mitchell used to coach at my high school so I’ve known him my whole life.”
Of these schools, Woodruff is looking “to feel wanted and great coaches.” His current plan is to make his college commit at the end of the high school season.
