The newest commitment from Wisconsin’s 2024 class came today from Brandon Tilley. The 6’5” small forward of Franklin High School and the Wisconsin Swing chose UW-Stevens Point as his future home.
There were multiple factors on and off the court that came that came into the decision of Tilley deciding upon UW-Stevens Point. “I really enjoyed the coaching staff and how all the players were bought in. I really enjoyed how the city around them really supports the team,” the senior said about his college selection.
The commitment comes after Tilley took a visit to the in-state school back in late October. “I really enjoyed it,” he first said about his visit. “The coaches treated me very well and I really enjoyed the scenery and the campus.” Tilley was also being recruited by Mount Mercy, UW-Stout, UT-Whitewater, among several other programs before his commitment.
Tilley sees his versatility becoming a big factor of himself when he suits up for Pointers next season. “I see myself fitting in as a wing or a forward who can guard any spot and player that Coach D wants me to guard.” While he focused on his defensive ability while playing at the next level, Tilley has proven to be a skilled scorer and can also contribute in a variety of ways between his play with the Swing and at the high school level. In his senior season currently, he is averaging 19.9 points per game along with 7 rebounds.
