2023 G BRADEN MCGLOTHLIN GETS FIRST OFFER

Over the past season and a half on the NY2LA Association, one of the more skilled and high IQ players has been Braden McGlothlin. After a strong junior season in which he averaged 11 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while shooting over 51% from the field, the 6’3” guard has had an impressive spring with MTXE Premier.

“It went really well. As a team we had really good success,” McGlothlin said about his spring with MTXE. “Personally, I feel that I had a good spring. I feel that every time I stepped on the floor, I brought great energy and toughness and found ways to impact winning. I feel that my ability to make players around me better is a huge asset to our team, whether that is controlling the game or being able to score the basketball in different ways. It’s a fun group to play with and I am looking forward to getting back on the court.”

Following his success during the spring, McGlothlin picked up his first scholarship offer. Hillsdale College offered the rising senior earlier this month after a “great visit.” He has also visited North Dakota recently and will be visiting Evansville and UT-Chattanooga in the near future. Other programs to have interest in him include Appalachian State, Bradley, Michigan Tech, North Dakota State, South Dakota, St. Thomas, Wisconsin-Parkside, and others.

A few different aspects McGlothlin said to describe his game included high IQ, shooting, and feel, all which he displayed throughout the spring. With all his tools, look for his recruitment to continue to grow.
