MILES RUBIN CONTINUES TO DEVELOP INTO BIG TIME PROSPECT

One junior from Illinois that continues to produce and pull in offers is Miles Rubin. After starting his high school career with his brother Wes at Homewood Flossmoor, they both made the move to Simeon for this season.

While playing with Meanstreets last spring, Rubin received his first offer from Northern Illinois. Following that, Akron, Southern Illinois, and Western Illinois have all offered Rubin. When talking about these schools that have offered, the junior likes how close to home they are for him. His brother Wes holds the same offer list.

Rubin has been a key piece alongside a talented roster of why Simeon has been able to capture a 16-1 record this season while playing a tough schedule against teams across the nation.

Standing at 6’8”, the forward plays even bigger with his length in the paint on both ends. He is a tough defensive anchor that can lock down the paint but still had good mobility to switch out on to the perimeter. Rubin plays with good energy on the defensive end as well to being big on the glass. Offensively, he scores well in the post. He has soft touch and uses his length well to score over defenders. A couple things that Rubin is looking to improve include his perimeter shooting and ball handling.

The forward has only continued to develop and progress his game. He is a 2023 player that college coaches should be all over this spring.
