Recruitment Taking Off For 2027 Max Jones

In just the past few months, Max Jones has started to see his recruitment take off. This has included multiple division one offers in addition to taking a couple of visits recently for the 6’4” guard of West Allis Central High School (WI).

In his sophomore season, Jones averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in a 21-6 season. Then with Team Herro on the EYBL, he averaged 9.3 points while playing just under 17 minutes per game.

While Jones currently has five division one offers, it wasn’t until June when he received his first one which came from Green Bay. Then during the rest of the summer, Eastern Illinois and Toledo also offered him. More recently in just the past few weeks, Alabama A&M and Northern Iowa have also offered him.

Back at the end of September, Jones took his first collegiate visit going to Toledo which he called amazing. Adding in about his trip, he stated “It was fun to be in Ohio and experience that with the coaches and players and with a couple of my teammates. Overall, I liked the staff and culture they have over there.”

More recently, Jones has also taken a visit to Northern Iowa. “I liked Northern Iowa a lot, it was a great experience to see what college life is about and I felt like they showed that. Had fun with the coaches and the players, I loved it and looking forward to going back up there.”

In addition to his five offers, Jones has a lengthy list of programs showing interest in him. Included in this list is Bradley, Brown, Colorado State, Drake, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, South Dakota, UIC, Western Michigan, and a few others.

Next up for his junior season, Jones is looking to “improving specific skills like finishing, increasing physical fitness, and developing on having leadership consistently. Most importantly, win the state title!”
