It has been a very busy September of visits for Donovan Davis. The nationally ranked 2027 forward of Freedom High School (WI) and Team Herro has made several visits including ones to Iowa, Iowa State, and Wisconsin.
On his visit to his home state Big Ten team, Davis said “It was good I got to talk to Coach Gard and Coach Chambliss for about an hour and fifteen talking about how I would fit in their scheme and how it would be good to stay home and represent the hometown team. Then we went to the football game vs Maryland which was pretty fun. It was a fun time got to see more things to know about Wisconsin.”
“Iowa State was good as well,” Davis said about his visit to Ames. “This was probably my fourth time there and I talked to Coach TJ for about an hour, then we went over to Hilton for breakfast, then walked with the players over to the football stadium walking through the tailgates then watched the game. It was a pretty good time and really got more connected with the team.”
On his other visit to the state of Iowa, Davis said “The Iowa visit also went pretty good I got to talk to the coaches and watch their practice. I got to go around campus and check everything out, got to go to the football stadium and walk on the field, and just mostly meeting everyone really and just getting to know more about Iowa.”
Not only has Davis been busy with visits recently, but he also added a pair of scholarship offers this month. The newest ones coming from Nebraska and Colorado State. He has also been previously offered by Cal, Iowa, Iowa State, Marquette, Syracuse, and Wisconsin. Next up for visits scheduled for the junior is back to Iowa on November 7th and 8th.
