While there have continued to be plenty of players nationally in the 2026 class to make their college commitments over the past month, there still remains plenty of available talent. One of the top seniors still available in Illinois currently is Ben Akoro.
The 6’8” wing forward of O’Fallon High School remains an under recruited for a player of his abilities even while holding multiple division one offers. There are few players in the area who can match his positional size, well-rounded skill set, and scoring ability.
Even with all of these abilities, Akoro did not pick up his first offer until this summer. To date, Akoro has received three division one offers. These three offers have come from Southern Illinois Edwardsville, UT-Martin, and Milwaukee.
Coming up in his recruitment, Akoro will be taking a visit to Milwaukee next weekend to visit to Horizon League school. Milwaukee has just offered him at the end of August He is looking to make his college commitment by the November signing period. “I’m looking for good education and an opportunity to make an impact,” Akoro said about his search for his future home.
