Get To Know – 2027 Kyle Edwards

One of the top teams at the 16U level of the NY2LA Platinum Elite this past season was the Indiana Elite Central. This included making it all the way to the championship game of the season championships at the Summer Jam tournament back in July.

A big key for this was the play of 2027 Kyle Edwards. His grassroots season included being one of the top players at the Next Level Invitational while leading his team to an undefeated 4-0 weekend. The lofty stat line of the 6’4” wing included 22 points per game to be one of the top scorers of the tournament while shooting a highly efficient 61.7% from the field. He also added in 8.8 rebounds and 2 assists per game. “It was a great season and really enjoyed playing with my teammates,” Edwards said about his time with Indiana Elite Central.

With the growth of his game, Edwards has started to get himself on the radar of college programs. As part of this, he recently took a visit to Indiana Wesleyan University. “It went really well. I played open gym with their team and went to the football game,” he said about his trip to the NAIA school.

“I pride myself on being the hardest playing player on the floor. I can score from all 3 levels and will do whatever it takes to help my team win,” Edwards said describing his own game. He is coming off of a sophomore season at Whiteland High School (IN) in which he averaged 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in helping them win a sectional championship. For his upcoming junior season, he said “to build off a successful sophomore season and have a great junior campaign. I want to try to help my team win back-to-back sectional titles.”
