Lake Superior State Visit For Will Krueger

Over the past few months, junior Will Krueger of De Pere High School and the Wisconsin Legends has continued to see growth in not just his game but also his recruitment. During the summer, he received his first pair of division two offers. Earlier this month, he took a visit to one of these schools.

The recent visit was to Lake Superior State. They were the first school to offer Krueger which took place back in June. Regarding his visit, he said “the visit went well. Lake State was very welcoming and provided great hospitality. I got to hang out with some of the players and really get a feel for the culture they have there. They’re doing some really cool things with updates to their facilities.”

When asked if there was anything he like about them, Krueger said “I really like the culture at LSSU. All the players get along really well and have great relationships with each other which reminds me a lot of my team at De Pere. I also love the coaching staff. On the visit they made me feel at home and like I was part of the team. The style of play at Lake State fits my game really well.”

The other division two program to have already offered Krueger is Michigan Tech. He is planning on visiting them in October. The other schools recruiting him include Hillsdale College, Northern Michigan, and UW-Parkside.

The 6’4” wing guard had a breakout grassroots season with the Wisconsin Legends. On the NY2LA Platinum Elite, he averaged 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game during the spring and summer. He consistently showcased his great shooting ability by averaging three made threes per game at a 43.3% from deep. In his upcoming junior season, he is looking to help De Pere get back to Madison and compete for a state title.
