Not the longest edition but still some major headlining commitments to read up on. Here is all the recruitment news over the past seven days.
Boston University was able to come into Illinois and land one of its top post players in the 2026 with the commitment of Grace Lee. The 6’2” senior of ALL IN and DePaul Prep chose the Terriers over a long list of other division one offers including Cleveland State, Cornell, La Salle, Northern Illinois, Oakland, and a few others.
Another commitment out of Illinois came from Joslynn James of M14 and Sterling High School. While just starting her junior year, the point guard has announced her commitment to Valpo. They had offered her back in July.
A third commitment out of Illinois over the past week to a D1 program came from Stella Sakalas. The senior guard of Nazareth Academy and the Wisconsin Lakers will be headed out west to BYU.
Another senior from the Wisconsin Lakers making her college commitment was Maddie Chabot. The 6’ forward of Pewaukee High School will be headed to Washington University in St. Louis.
From Altamont High School and the Indiana Elite Havoc, 2026 Kaylee Lurkins has announced her commitment to Lake Land College.
Northern Iowa received a commitment from 6’1” senior Le’Sedra Williams of All Iowa Attack and Minnetonka High School.
Milwaukee has extended an offer out to 6’3” junior Mariah Sexton of the Minnesota Sun.
Senior point guard Zoey Wilde of Normal Community High School and Example Sports has been offered by University of St. Francis.
From Regis High School and Team Prime Nation, junior EllaMay Cooper has been offered by Air Force. She also recently took a visit to Eastern Illinois this past weekend.
Taylor University extended an offer out to Brooklyn Koester, a junior point guard of Ottoville High School and Always 100 while on a visit. It was a busy few days for Koester as she was also offered by Findlay while visiting their campus.
Lyla Shelton, a senior guard of Nazareth Academy and Chicago Hoops Express, has picked up an offer from Saint Mary’s College.
Following a visit, senior guard Lucy Kim of Fremd and Illinois Hustle has been offered by Denison.
Berkeley Mensendike, a 5’10” senior forward, of River Ridge High School and the Midwest Wildcats, has been offered by Clarke.
