One of the top players in Wisconsin’s 2026 class has announced their college commitment. This came from Chris Pohl. The 6’7” forward of Marshfield High School and the Wisconsin Playmakers selected Wyoming.
The commitment to Wyoming comes following his visit to the Laramie campus this past weekend. “As soon as I stepped foot on campus, I knew it was the right fit for me. the coaches and players welcomed me right away,” Pohl said about his visit and choosing Wyoming. “It was awesome. I got to work out with the guys and go to a football game.”
Pohl had been offered by Wyoming and head coach Sundance Wicks back in July. He had also been offered by multiple division one and two programs. His offer list included Bryant, Green Bay, Mankato State, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan, Saginaw Valley State, and Winona State.
The coaching staff played a large role in Pohl’s decision. “The coaching staff is amazing. A bunch of good guys with good backgrounds and can definitely take a team to the next level.” For his future playing for the Mountain West program, he said “I see myself making an impact as a shooter and defender. as i continue to develop my game hopefully I can develop to be a three-level scorer.”
