Commitment season is here as plenty of players from the 2026 class continue to announce their college selections. One of the newest to do so was Trey Brost.
The point guard of Bolingbrook High School and the Fundamental U program selected Michigan Tech. He was down to three schools before his commitment with the other two being Drury and Concordia Nebraska. Michigan Tech offered Brost back in June of this year.
The commitment of Brost comes after he just took a visit to Michigan Tech on August 29th which he called “really good.” Adding in about the visit, Brost said “I got to see the football team play and got to tour the campus. It was really nice, I also worked out with some of the players that went really well too.”
Michigan Tech head coach Josh Buettner and the coaching staff played a major role in the decision. “I really liked the coaching staff there they did a really good job when recruiting me of being honest and showing me how much of a family they have built for their program.”
“They play a very good smart style that mixes playing fast and smart,” Brost first said about his future playing for Michigan Tech. “I’m used to playing in systems like that with Fundamental U and Bolingbrook so I think it should be a great fit for me and my game.” Michigan Tech is coming off a 24-win season in which they made it to the second round of the NCAA division two tournament.
