Throughout the spring and summer, Antwoine Mister was one of the top players at the 16U level at NY2LA. The 6’2” 2027-point guard starred with HoopTech.
Mister shined throughout the season as one of the most complete point guards regardless of level. His high level of play was evident from the start of the season at the Spring Extravaganza where he led HoopTech to a 3-1 tournament but continued throughout the entire season. “The season was great, we had a great group of guys, and a great coach. I had a lot of fun and it was good playing against a lot of talented players and teams. I grew a lot physically mentally and throughout the summer. I have become more of a scorer,” he said about his season.
Not only did Mister have several twenty plus point games but was also showcased his all-around game. This included his distributing ability as he put up a staggering 6.7 assists per game at the Next Level Invitational back in May. His all-around game at this tournament was also shown all tournament as he averaged 6.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game. He described himself as an “athletic guard who can score in a variety of ways and I take pride in defending at a high level and making plays for my teammates on offense.” He is looking to become more of a team leader moving forward.
With his high level of play, Mister has started to draw the interest of colleges including some scholarship level programs this summer. Amongst the schools recruiting him include Ashland, Hillsdale, and Malone. “I’m excited to see where the recruiting process takes me.”
