NY2LA Summer Jam – DG’s Friday Standouts

Between some stellar showcase games and the start of bracket play, there were plenty of deserving candidates for this list. Here are few of the days many standouts. Few familiar names as some stars continue to shine this season.

Greg Grays – 2026 – PG – D Rice Elite

Grays had another sensational performance has he led D Rice Elite to a comeback win in their showcase game on Friday. It was just more of the same from the highly skilled guard as he was getting into the mid-range with his strength and hitting tough jumpers and also hitting them from the outside with five made threes. He finished with an efficient 23 points in the win including 13 points in the second half.

Will Krueger – 2027 – SG – Wisconsin Legends

Even after just the first round of games of the day, Krueger locked his spot onto this list. Not only did he score 27 points, but also hit the game winning three. The game winning shot was one of his seven made three pointers. The 6’4” wing guard has such a pure jumper from the outside but also showed his athleticism on the defensive end.

Dominic Musolf – 2026 – G – 24UP

Musolf had the top shooting display of day one here at Summer Jam. In a platinum bracket game, the guard went off from the outside hitting eight threes to finish with 28 points. Even while being face guarded for much of the second half, Musolf was still able to hit four of them in that half. Even when hitting his high number of threes, he was never forcing them and still looked to distribute the ball.

Nathan Ottwaway – 2027 – F – ALL IN Athletics Gold

While one basket to extend the game into overtime is impressive, the 6’6” forward did it twice. To end regulation, Ottaway caught a pass inside and finished through contact to tie it up in the final seconds and get the game into overtime. Then in the first overtime. he had another basket right before the buzzer. Between the second half and overtimes, the forward scored 12 points.

Kayden Schultz – 2026 – G – Chapman North Elite

While Schultz has continued to star for Chapman North over the past few years and especially this year, he was on another level in his showcase game Friday evening. Right from the start he was hitting his shots at an incredibly high percentage. He has a pure mid-range pull up game quickly rising up with good lift but was also knocking down all his threes. He finished with a staggering 33 points versus a very talented D Rice Elite team in a tight game.
