NY2LA The Final Chapter – DG’s 16U Stock Boosters

One more piece of my coverage from the Final Chapter highlighting a few more talented players from the 16U level

Josh Bowers – 2027 – C – Indiana Elite Central

Bowers is an incredibly intriguing who already has plenty of tools to his game as a rising junior. He has great size at 6’10” but is still mobile at his height in addition to some good skills. He can shoot the three, showed good footwork and strength while posting up, scored it rolling to the basket to score 12 points in a single half of play but also passed it well out of the post. Bowers is also agile as an interior defender blocking and altering plenty of shots throughout the tournament. There are few 2027’s around with combination of tools and should be on college coaches’ radars.

Connor Brown – 2027 – F – D Rice Elite

The more I see of Brown, the more I like as his skills continue to progress this season. He stands at 6’6” but also has good strength and plays with tons of energy. He has proven his ability to bully defenders in the post scoring right through them but also an improved ability to play out on the perimeter attacking the basket with more speed and better handle.

Jael Djouguem – 2027 – SG – WM Premier

The guard was one of the more versatile and impactful guards at the 16U level of this tournament. He scored 19 points in a single game and consistently shot the ball well with multiple games of three or more threes. Though he also plays with a ton of energy to get so much done. This was highlighted by his defensive play getting all over opposing ball handlers and in help as well as coming up with plenty of steals, loose balls, and deflections.

Anthony Jones – 2027 – PG – Wisconsin 26ers

It was a huge weekend for Jones who started it with a 20-point game and then the next day went for 29 in a game as part of a 4-0 weekend for the 26ers. He is a good playmaker with the ball who shoots it very well off the dribble. In his first half of action, he already drilled a trio of threes but also hit plenty of jumpers when pulling up in the mid-range. Jones is a smart and efficient point guard who really knows how to play.

Will Krueger – 2027 – SG – Wisconsin Legends

The stock of Krueger continues to grow as the wing guard continues to perform at a high level. He was scoring in the double figures all tournament long including hitting three threes in just the first half of his first game. Much more than just a shooter, Krueger also has positional size at 6’4” in addition to his athleticism which he used to be make plenty of plays including an impressive chase down block. He has been one of the biggest stock boosters in Wisconsin’s 2027 class in recent months and should have college coaches looking his way this weekend at the NY2LA Summer after recently picking up his first scholarship offer.

Landon Lethunya – 2027 – F/C – Full Package

There are a lot of different aspects to like from this emerging big man. His physical tools standout first as he has great size standing at 6’9” with plenty of length. Even with his size, Lethunya is a mobile big man for his size that can not only act as a rim protector but also defend the pick and roll and switch onto guards. The 2027 big man can also stretch the floor as a consistent spot up three-point shooter hitting three in a single game of his.

Vincent Nover – 2027 – SG – Indiana Elite Central

Over the course of multiple games at the Final Chapter, Nover showed his ability to do a bit of everything. Not only does he have good size in the backcourt at 6’4” but was also effective both on and off the ball. The high IQ guard showed his ability to run the point at times with storng handle and passing it well but also plays very well off the ball as a smart cutter scoring often and also a good spot up outside shooter.
