The game of junior point guard Nick Schultz has continued to quickly progress. It started with a breakout junior season with Neenah High School (WI) and now into his grassroots season with Davis Brothers Elite.
From his sophomore to junior season at Neenah, the production of Schultz nearly tripled. He went from averaging 3.8 points and 1.3 assists and the grew those numbers up to 10.3 points and 3.4 assists. “Accepting my new role and getting comfortable with it,” he said about his breakout season. “As we had multiple seniors that led our team last year me and younger guys had to accept big jumps in our roles.”
His growth has continued into the spring with Davis Brothers Elite. To start off his grassroots season, he was one of the top point guards at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish Tournament. Schultz helped them achieve a 3-1 record during the tournament. Throughout the tournament, he stood out with his ability to be a true floor leader and create for others while also scoring it himself. “The season with Davis Brothers has been great so far we have a really good squad with a bunch of underrated guys that can all play.”
Schultz called his recruitment to date “a little slow” but has started to get on the radar of some college programs. This includes a few WIAC schools and some others. “Hoping to perform well this spring, summer to show some coaches what I can do.”
This weekend, Schultz and Davis Brothers Elite will be playing at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza in Bettendorf, Iowa.
