Over the past year, Mace Miskel has emerged as one of the top point guards in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. This started with a standout freshman season at Whitefish Bay High School and continues early into the spring grassroots season with Chapman Basketball Academy.
“We didn’t win as much as we’d like,” Miskel said about the 12-14 season for Whitefish Bay. “We have competitive guys who are learning and getting better for next season.” What the team did not find in success as a whole, Miskel did have plenty of individual success on the court. Even as just a freshman, Miskel averaged nearly double-digit points with 9.5 per game. This was in addition to 3.1 rebounds and a team high 4.1 assists as well as 1.5 steals.
“I take pride in a hard-nosed style of play that pressures on defense,” Miskel first said when describing his own game. “Get the ball to my teammates in scoring positions, makes my teammates better and I can score efficiently when my team needs it. I like to play the right way and I will do anything to help my team win.”
This season with Chapman Basketball, the point guard will be playing a level up with their 2027 Gold Elite team. He helped them start their season with an undefeated 4-0 tournament. “Me and my teammates want to be a championship level team…play competitive basketball and getting better with my teammates.”
