Out of all the underclassmen talent in Wisconsin, Jordan Evans has continued to show he is among the top prospects. While he has just finished his freshman season, the 6’2” guard of Living Word Lutheran has already started to attract to some college interest.
Last summer at the GNBA Championships’ Evans was the top scorer of the entire tournament. During it, he had himself games of 47 and 38 points. Then into his high school season, he has continued that elite level of play. Even as just a freshman, he led his team in scoring while averaging 15.8 points per game. He also contributed 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals. “I learned a lot from my coaches and teammates,” he said about the season. “I became more confident as the season went on. My team finished second in our conference.”
When asked to describe his own game, Evans said “I am a strong guard that can play both guard positions. I am athletic and can score at all three levels. I am a team first player, willing to play any role that my team needs. I have a defensive mindset but can score with the best of them if needed.” He has proven to have a very high offensive skill set with a great ability to create for himself.
While already one of the top 2028 players in the Midwest, look for him to draw national attention in the coming months. In the upcoming grassroots season, Evans will be playing with Power 5. “My goals for AAU are to continue to grow as a player and develop as a leader that my coaches and teammates can rely on. I want to improve my mid-range game and become more aggressive on both ends of the floor. Would love to win the 3SSB championship as well.”
