Mitch Finefrock Talks Commitment

Over the weekend, one of the top shooters in the Midwest’s 2025 class made his college commitment. This came from Mitch Finefrock, a 6’2” shooting guard of Jackson High School and All Ohio Select.

Finefrock announced his commitment to Frostburg State, a division two program in Maryland of the Mountain East Conference. The commitment comes after they had just offered him three weeks prior. Following his offer, Finefrock made a visit there two weeks ago. “It went very well,” he said about his trip. “The players were super welcoming, and I liked the coaches as well.”

Prior to his commitment, the senior had been offered by Columbia, Jefferson, Rider, and St. Francis (PA). “I liked the players and vision Coach Thompson had for the program. I also like the way they play,” Finefrock said about choosing Frostburg State.

On his future of suiting up for Frostburg State, he said “I see my game fitting in very well because of their face paced play and because my shot making ability complements the strengths of my future teammates.”
