Girls Stars of the Week – 1/3

First stars of the week issue of the new year. This includes several 40+ point games in addition to some triple doubles and school record performances.

It was a big week on the court for Nora Ezike. As well to earning herself tournament MVP honors at the Montini Christmas Tournament which included a 40 point performance, the Stanford commit also scored her 1,000thcareer point.

While only a freshman, Chloe Johnson also broke the 40 point barrier with a 42 point game for Duluth Marshall High School (MN). She did this while hitting 7 threes in the game.

Trine commit Ava McGrade broke her own record for points in a game for Lakewood Park (IN) when she scored 42 points.

One more 40+ point game was accomplished by Drake commit Mylea Monahan with 43 points

Arabella Silva has continued to have herself a tremendous sophomore season and put up a trio of big games to earn herself all-tournament honors. This included a 33 point game along with a pair of double-doubles with 19 points and 10 rebounds as well as 20 points and 16 rebounds plus 4 assists and 5 steals.

Freshman Jude Miller filled up the entire stat sheet for Cumberland High School with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 8 steals. She followed this up with a 23 point, 4 rebound, 5 assists, and 3 steals game.

2026 Abbey Hobart had one of the best two game stretches of scoring you will see this season. To start it off, she tied the single game scoring record at Stagg High School with 37 points and followed that up with a 36 point game.

Alonna Divine gets on here for the ultra rare triple-double with steals. The junior guard of Pike High School (IN) had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals.

While 10 steals in a game is rare, 13 in a single game is even rarer. That is exactly what junior guard Atylia Green did in a game for Henderson County High School (KY) setting the school record. She also recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in the performance.

While only a sophomore, Angelina Reyes had one of the most dominant performances of the week with 24 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 assists. She has another double-double during the week too with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The big sophomore season continued for Lilyan Sizemore with another appearance here. She earned herself tournament MVP honors with a few standout games including one with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. In the tournament the guard also had a game with 27 points, 5 asissts, and 6 steals.

Brooke Stenklyft set the school record for points at Cambridge High School (WI) with a 41 point performance.

In a 32 point game, sophomore Ellie Gillitzher drilled 8 threes in a win for La Crosse Central High School (WI).

Danyella Mporokoso led Waubonsie Valley (IL) to a tournament championship while earning herself MVP honors which included back to back games of 35 points.

With Whitney Young down Florida for some games, sophomore Gabby Domercant elevated her game. The guard had a career high 27 points while shooting a remarkable 7-8 from three.

Another Chicago team making trip was Kenwood who traveled to DC and got a great all-around performance from senior Ariella Henigan with 28 points as well to 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for the Howard commit.

Not many stat lines can match the one from junior guard Frankie McLain who not only had 25 points but also added in 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 8 steals for St. Joseph Catholic Academy (WI).

Sophomore Awut Alic had one of the top scoring games of the week with a 37 point outburst for Oshkosh North (WI).

Senior guard/forward had a do it all double-double for Mauston High School (WI). Along with the 20 point, 14 rebound double-double she also added in 5 steals and 4 blocks.

Another appearance here for sophomore guard Taji Alexa of Mother McAuley High School. This time it was for a 27 point, 10 rebound double-double.  

Sophomore guard Lilliam Green had not just one double-double during the week but a pair of them. This included games of 18 points and 13 rebounds and then one with 11 points and 17 rebounds.
